4-28-26-Depo-Provera-Lawsuit-300x300
Depo-Provera is one of the most widely prescribed contraceptives on the market.

Across the country, millions of women rely on Depo-Provera. According to some estimates, more than a quarter of all sexually active women in the United States have taken this drug at least once. When it comes to preventing unwanted pregnancies, Depo-Provera is highly effective, and that is not up for debate. And, since it only needs to be taken once every three months, it also represents a convenient alternative to oral birth control.

However, even though Depo-Provera’s reputation as a contraceptive is rock-solid, it is not risk-free.

Airlines often advertise that flying is the safest mode of transportation.

While it is true that you are much more likely to be injured on your way to the airport than you are in the sky, the risks of air travel do not start and end with your chances of being involved in a fatal aviation accident. One of the greatest dangers inherent to modern aircraft is, in fact, surprisingly mundane: your luggage, and that of your fellow passengers.

During takeoff and landing, luggage can shift out of its original position. In the sky, turbulence can generate immense amounts of force, potentially casting bags out of their bins. And sometimes people make mistakes, whether it is a flight attendant who forgets to latch a compartment or another passenger who decides to cram too many bags into the overhead bin.

Tesla has always tried to push modernity to its limits.

Of all the vehicles Tesla has designed and sold since its founding, few make the future look more present than the Cybertruck. Almost everything about the Cybertruck, from its design to its aesthetics, poses a challenge to how people think about automobiles. It is, indisputably, one of the most distinctive and easily recognizable vehicles on the road today.

However, while the Cybertruck is certainly innovative, it is not flawless.

4-7-26-Breast-Mesh-Lawsuits-300x225
A breast mesh can help provide internal support after cosmetic, reconstructive, or augmentative breast surgery. Since most of these products work by incorporating surgical mesh with your body’s natural tissue, breast meshes are often marketed as a safe way to obtain long-lasting results without compromising appearance. However, regulators have warned that manufacturers’ claims of safety could be misleading. In a recent advisory, the federal Food and Drug Administration emphasized that the “safety and effectiveness of surgical mesh in breast surgery” has not yet been determined.

“There are no surgical mesh products cleared or approved by the FDA for use in breast surgery, including augmentation or reconstruction,” the Food and Drug Administration wrote.

Breast meshes are not inherently unsafe; many women report no complications whatsoever, but a growing body of evidence suggests that meshes could actually present a serious danger to women’s health. According to some studies, up to one-third of all women who receive meshes experience symptoms, including intense pain, localized swelling, and, in some cases, visible deformities. Of these women, about 10% are forced to undergo corrective surgery as a result.

Hair relaxers work by breaking down the bonds that give your hair its natural shape and texture.

According to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, many hair relaxers employ strong chemicals to achieve a straightening effect. These include compounds like:

3-24-26-Gemini-Chatbot-Suicide-Lawsuit-300x200
Google is continuing to face scrutiny over the safety of Gemini, an artificial intelligence chatbot that has been linked to multiple cases of injury, self-harm, and suicide.

In a significant development, the family of a Florida man has filed an unprecedented wrongful death lawsuit against Google. Lawyers for the parents of Jonathan Gavalas claim that the 36-year-old man, who worked with his father’s debt relief business in Jupiter, took his own life after developing a one-sided emotional relationship with Gemini.

The Gavalas family’s lawsuit notes that Jonathan started using Gemini last August to help with writing and shopping. He also used Google’s Gemini Live AI assistant, a more advanced artificial intelligence tool that can analyze voice-based chats and detect users’ emotions and mood. At the time, Gavalas seemed impressed with Gemini’s capabilities, telling the chatbot, “You are way too real!”

Dupixent is one of the most-frequently prescribed drugs for eczema and asthma, but scientists believe that taking it could put patients at risk for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, a rare type of cancer that can attack skin tissue and blood cells.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma after taking Dupixent, you could be entitled to significant compensation.

3-10-26-Ozempic-Lawsuit-300x200
Ozempic is a fixture of diabetes management and weight-loss regimens.

According to some estimates, more than 15 million Americans have taken Ozempic, Wegovy, or a related medication. These kinds of drugs, termed GLP-1 agonists, can offer immense benefits, but they can also conceal hidden risks. Some of the most dangerous side effects associated with GLP-1 agonists are poorly documented, often to the point that patients receive little to no warning of the potential danger.

If you or a loved one has been injured by Ozempic or another weight loss drug, you could be entitled to significant compensation. Here is what you need to know about:

3-3-26-BlueCruise-Accident-300x186
Self-driving vehicles are often marketed as the future of road transportation, but today’s regulators have serious concerns about this emerging technology’s all-around safety and general risks.

Since 2021, Ford alone has reported at least 32 collisions involving its BlueCruise driver-assistance feature. BlueCruise, like Tesla’s Autopilot, offers features like automatic lane centering and hands-free steering. According to Ford, BlueCruise is safe and works exactly as intended, provided that drivers remain constantly alert, ready to take the wheel at a moment’s notice. Nevertheless, Ford has long sought to limit liability in self-driving car accident claims by arguing that most, if not all, of these crashes come down to driver distraction and inattention.

A recent report issued by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration calls some of Ford’s claims into question. In a summary of its preliminary investigation into BlueCruise, the agency found the drivers in two fatal accidents failed to apply their brakes or take any evasive action. At the same time, BlueCruise not only failed to respond, but its cameras and radar system failed to recognize rapidly approaching obstacles, up to and including disabled vehicles on the side of the highway.

2-24-26-Tabletop-Fire-Pit-Lawsuit-225x300
Safety regulators have issued a nationwide warning against tabletop fire pits.

Unlike conventional fire pits and fireplaces, most tabletop fire pits use liquid fuels like isopropyl alcohol. Liquid-based fuels are cleaner than burning coal or wood, but defective fire pits can present serious risks.

“Igniting a pool of alcohol or other liquid fuel in a fire pit’s open container creates an uncontrollable pool fire, which can suddenly produce larger, hotter flames that can spread beyond the fire pit product,” the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission wrote in a 2024 warning. “A small flame in the fire pit can be hard to see and can ignite alcohol or other liquid fuel as it is poured, causing an explosion that propels flames and burning liquid onto the consumer or bystanders.”
