Mr. Herrmann is a personal injury attorney who is honored to represent his clients obtain the compensation they deserve due to the negligence of another. Mr. Herrmann prosecutes a variety of personal injury cases, primarily focusing on motor vehicle collisions and premises liability cases. He is involved from start to finish with his client’s cases and is determined to do everything he can to help each client walk away feeling as if justice has been won. Mr. Herrmann encourages and welcomes constant communication with his clients from the beginning to end, as he understands the importance of communicating with his clients throughout the legal process.
Mr. Herrmann was born and raised in a small town in Central New York. Ever since he was a kid, Mr. Herrmann always said to friends and family that he wanted to be a lawyer, and his family agreed. This is more than a career to Mr. Herrmann; it is a way of life, and he takes pride in helping his clients each and every day.
Graduating from SUNY Cortland in 2020, Mr. Herrmann obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. During his senior year, he was fortunate enough to enroll in legal classes such as Constitutional Law, and also intern at the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office. These law classes and experiences confirmed Mr. Herrmann’s dream that becoming a lawyer was not just a good dream to have – it was the only dream. In pursuit of that dream, Mr. Herrmann attended law school right here at the University at Buffalo School of Law. From the first class in law school, Mr. Herrmann knew he was exactly where he needed to be. This was clear because Mr. Herrmann was elected as a class director for the Student Bar Association his first semester of law school and continued participating in organizations including the Buffalo Environmental Law Journal from his second year until graduation. Importantly, Mr. Herrmann also participated in the law schools Mock Trial Team, travelling to California to compete in the National Civil Trial Competition where he and his team competed against law schools across the nation. He gained invaluable experience early on with respect to the planning, effort, and aggressiveness it takes to prepare for and conduct a trial. Interestingly, Mr. Herrmann was fortunate enough to apply for and be selected as a participant in the law school’s exchange program where he attended a semester of law school in Scotland at the University of Glasgow School of Law. There, Mr. Herrmann’s studies focused primarily on classes such as International and Human Rights Law. This different field of law forced Mr. Herrmann to learn and adapt quickly to entirely new sources of law in order to succeed and keep up with his new peers. In addition to these attributes, Mr. Herrmann also interned at Neighborhood Legal Services during his final semester of law school, where he further honed his communications skills with clients and learned the true value that comes with helping others.
Mr. Herrmann’s first job was in customer service, where he developed and honed his communication and listening skills to understand what a customer needs, and how to get that result. Furthermore, Mr. Herrmann practices law with the same key philosophies he uses to guide his life: Preparation, Focus, and Persistence. Mr. Herrmann believes that proper preparation prevents poor performance, which is why he is prepared for every client call, every letter written, every court conference or deposition conducted, and so on. Part of preparation includes anticipating what the other side will say, and Mr. Herrmann’s prior experience working on the other side of personal injury cases presents a unique understanding and advantageous insight to how a case is thought about from the other side. Additionally, in order to properly prepare, Mr. Herrmann believes in focusing on one main goal for his clients: to get them the compensation they deserve. This goal is the driving force of the case from start to finish, and focusing on this goal every day is a prime example of Mr. Herrmann’s persistence to help his clients get what they deserve.
Non-Legal Activities
Mr. Herrmann enjoys travelling to countries around the globe. When not travelling, he enjoys snowboarding, regularly exercising, playing backyard sports with friends, watching movies and, of course, watching the Buffalo Bills.
